Keep Your Beat🎶

Welcome to week 6 of Student Blogging Challenge!         Today I will be focusing on music artists and instruments.

I started playing the Alto saxophone in Gr. 5 when I joined the school band.  I was in a band with about 35 kids and a couple of my friends that started this music journey. I played for about 2 years and into Gr. 7 until COVID hit and I had to play online which sucked. I was going to play Gr. 8 band but because of the pandemic, I chose to use my electives instead. I really enjoy playing my alto saxophone and hope that I stick to it in the future.

I’m also going to talk about famous music artist, Kanye West. He isn’t exactly my favourite artist but I like his older albums like Graduation in 2007. Not only is he an artist, he is also a part of a collaboration with German sportswear for Adidas Yeezy. These are shoes that are super comfortable, come in various colour combinations, but are really expensive that are designed by Kanye himself along with other designers as well.

Over different time periods, new genres of music are born and evolve into society’s most popular music type. Some songs are either purposely made to be funny and others are made funny when people turn them into memes. I have found songs that I connect to memes instead of its original source/band and I think that’s incredibly interesting.

Below I have made a list of songs that follow the topic above.

That’s all from me today, I hope you enjoyed today’s post and I look forward to seeing you next time.
