This project was about European exploration and the discovery of the new world. We started by watching a movie about modern day pirates and then tied it to the bit about European exploration that we already new.
We spent most of the time we had working on writing notes and learning as much we could about the topic. We also started learning some cool things like how to use an app called Ar Maker, using this app is how we were going to show our learning in the end.
The way that the app works is it generates a space using your camera that you can the insert 3D objects into and make cool scenes, you can also film what you see and make a video that you can save.
once we were done learning all that we could about exploration we set to work finding key important events that happened that could show European exploration. Once we did we could start to draw some pictures that could tell a story to go along in the video we would create. We then put our images into the AR maker app and filmed a video of them.
We also recorded some audio that we would use to walk any viewers through and tell a story about our presentation. After we finished our recordings and made them look good we uploaded them to our YouTube channels for the world to see.
To celebrate finishing the project the class got a wight spot lunch.
I think the project was short but fun and helped me understand the impact that European exploration had on the world and how it relates to today.
