Anthropology has always been a very intresting topic for me so I am very excited to say that our next BCFP has a central focus on Anthropology and incorrect impressions that colonizers had on indigenous peoples. Those first impressions created a incorect bias towards the indigenous peoples throughout Canadian history. Here’s a link to one of my older notes about a deeper dive into indigenous history.
Today in class we began launching the new project by doing some research and experiments on first impressions.

Here are our initial observations.
We were given a random item and we had to theorize what it is used for and what we can we assume about that civilization. It was a very intersting way to see how some things that we asume without proper evidence. It showed us how things may have been assumed about the local indigenous when the Europeans first came to North America.
Now you may be slightly confused on what BCFP may be so here is a link to one of my other posts that explains it a bit better.
At the start of class we also had to create a learing intention using some prompts. “I will grow in my ability to be more inquisitive and show this by asking questions to my teachers and peers about details and specific parts our learnings of anthropological studies” this learing intention aligns with the project by showing the fact that I will be engaged and more inclined to ask questions in the classroom and also outside the classroom. Our last project my learing intenetion was focused on keeping up to date with all my assignments and I hope that with this project I can continue to upod that same value and also make sure that all my assignments are the highest quaility they can be.
