I improved my understanding of the big idea in many ways such as movement of tectonic plates , my project and geohazards . There are many ways a tectonic plate can move such as convergent, transverse and more but the most common one is the transformation boundaries moving past each sometimes causing earthquakes.

By having to make a board game with my table buddy Faith
We worked together to make a board game about tectonic plates ,earthquakes,volcanos,tsunamis, and probability. I also learned about geohazards that cause landslides and earthquakes .Geohazards are result of geological processes.
Evaluating: Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of evidence
I can show my understanding and appreciation of plate tectonics by the board game we designed. We created the board with a tectonic plate map as the base of the board . Our board game has cards called Attack and special cards. They can help you and or can take some defence blocks away from yourself. The rules of our game show my understanding of plate tectonics and the concepts we learned about plate boundaries and I think there is a connection to geohazards.

I demonstrated sustained intellectual curiosity by using class time efficiently for my learning. I work in LAC because it’s less loud and we can get feedback really fast and that really helps to get our game to the best it could be.

mathematical understanding through play, inquiry, and problem solving
I developed my math skill by showing my problem solving by working with fractions. The quizzes helped to make me comfortable to add fractions. We added probability to our game by including chance cards.
