Hi everyone,

In this post about why you should start biking. I will be talking about different entry-level bikes for a beginner. This is all part of the series of posts on why you should start biking. If you want to check out my last post it is right here: Interesting Images.

First I will be talking about the type of bike you should buy, Second the price range you should look at, and finally my suggestions.

The type of bike you should buy is a hardtail. It is a bike that has a “hardtail” meaning there is no rear suspension. What you should also look for are no dropper posts. A dropper post is a seat that’s can go up and down with the flick of a switch. Finally, the last thing you should look for in an entry-level bike is all aluminum or steel. No carbon! It is not like your going to be setting records on climbs during your first ride. There’s no point in buying a carbon bike.

Next is the price range. Price range is the biggest thing you want to look at when you are buying a new bike. There is no point in buying a multi-thousand-dollar bike if you are not going to use it. The price range I would give you is 350$ to 1000$. Three hundred and fifty dollars will buy you a solid bike nothing special just super entry-level parts just a bike meant to get you from A to B. On the other hand, 1000$ will get you a really good entry-level bike probably from a big bike brand like Trek or Specialized.

Lastly the type of bike you should buy. Do not get a bike from Walmart or any other superstore its a waste of money and time. The bikes will break down and can not handle any mountain bike trails. They can only go on gravel roads and the street. I would recommend going to a bike shop and picking a bike up for yourself. Let the workers at a bike shop who know everything about bikes tell you what to buy. I also recommend buying a used bike off of Pinkbike. But if you want to order online buy from really big companies. Those companies will have a huge selection of bikes and often have customer reviews. If you want those companies to link it’s right here. Trek, Specialized, Canyon, Giant, Rocky Mountain, and Cannondale.

Thank you for reading this post I will have one more post in this series and if you have any questions put them in the comments.
