Welcome back to my blog which marks the end to another project which is crazy I still feel like the school year just started. Anyways this project was all about creative reading and writing, in the end we had a read a book that was assigned to us (mine was 1984), we then had to have a book discussion with a small group of people reading same book. we also had to hand In a short story based off of a dystopian novel. So now that you know what I had to do lets get into my reflection.
For the book discussion I was a bit disappointed in myself for not contributing more of my ideas because I truly thought I had some good ideas that really could’ve benefited my group discussion. This has always been something that ive been working on since elementary school and I continue to try to grow every year, its gotten a lot better usually I would’ve just skipped the whole day to avoid even being part of the discussion. So even though I only communicated a few of my ideas it wasn’t a total loss and im continuing to grow this skill.
Now for my short story, its not done yet still in the second draft I’m extremely happy with the way that it came out the two people that I got feed back from said they where really impressed with how it came out. This was great to here becasue I knew in the back of my head htat this was probably the best story that ive ever written and I put a lot of time and effort into it. So this part of the project was a big win. Im happy I was able to grow my creative writing skills while this might not be super important to my future career it was still super fun to write.
Final reflection, Im proud of the way things turned out in this project while its was a bit rockey at the start I was able to turn it around and produce somthing that im truly happy to show off. In this project I was able to grow on many of my skills from my VMV including: self directed learning, creativity, agency, and communication skills. To conclude this project I would say I did a really good job👍
