Hi there! This is our last post of this project! Post 3 out of 3! And in this part of the project we read all about habit 7.

This part of the book we were talking all about sharpening the saw which is basically like renewing yourself and keeping yourself fresh so you can keep doing better.
I acted on my feedback for the last post about making them more personal because this is a PERSONAL learning portfolio and not just a recap of the book.
DQ 🏎️:
What does it take to be a highly effective person?
I feel that what it takes to be a highly effective person in the end is a good mindset. What do I mean by that? Well someone who is willing to learn and to grow. Not just someone who will sit there believing they are perfect. Ways that you can start doing this in life is, taking feedback and using it. Now that I have finished this book the answer to the driving question was so much clearer and I could really see what the author was trying to get at.

I found this book very interesting to read and it made me think of my personal life. Like last time I hope to relate this book to my personal life reflecting on how I can sharpen my saw in all 4 ways, spiritually, physically, socially and mentally.

Physically: I exercise often to stay in shape for my sports in ways like keeping up my stamina and going to the gym every now and then. I also try to eat nutritious food that will keep me healthy.
Social/Emotional: With my social life I hang out with friends to stay close and I stay in touch with farther family (like in England). Emotionally I try to stay stress free because life is stressful! I sometimes can get very caught up and start overthinking things so I try to stay calm.
Spiritually: I am not very religious but sometimes I do yoga and relax my mind. Other than that I do not really participate in religious activities other than occasionally going to the temple (but that’s usually involuntarily and I would rather do anything else than wear uncomfortable Indian clothes).
Mentally: Mentally I try to like I said stay calm and stay stress free because sometimes I can get in my head. I also loveeee to read and the funny thing is I didn’t use to like it that much but it’s one of the things that was on my New Year’s resolution and I really love it! Something else that I realized had been affecting me mentally is my phone. I realized that sometimes I would get so caught up in scrolling or texting that afterwords I would feel absolutely horrible. I am trying to not be on phone for too long now and lower my screen time (It is almost impossible to lower my screen time on my iPad though).
Part 4:
The last part, part 4 focused on talking about habits 7 sharpen the saw.
Habit 7 The Renewal:
The renewal focusing on renewing yourself and how to as well. It’s all about how to sharpen your saw and what to do to do that. Ways you can do that is by keeping your mind, body, heart and soul sharp and feeling good. Ways that I do that are by keeping myself in check with the examples I gave above.
Group
For this last video we were given random groups to work in and I was partnered with:
Me and Milaina filmed on the day we had designated to do it and unfortunately it was only us two because Sawyer was away on the band trip. I feel that we worked very efficiently finishing it all in just one class. I am happy what we could accomplish when we worked together and our finished video is below!
Video!
So for some weird reason within the first 30 minutes of me posting this video I already had 160 views!!! I dont know why but I guess my video just keeps showing up on the algorithm.
Update we now have 500 views and an interesting comment 😂

Conclusion
After now finishing this book I can see how all the different habits relate to each other and how I can add this into my life. I will definitely remember this book and the different steps that it took to finish. In conclusion this book was very informative and I will use these habits in my life from now on whenever I can.
Thank you so much for reading! Stay posted for my next post! 👍
