Week two of the greatest Canadian project was amazing. I got lots of work done and took plenty of notes. But let me tell you about some of the specific things I’ve learnt this week.

This week I officially chose who I would be creating my podcast on, Todd fiander, AKA Digger. Although every mountain biker in BC, or Canada for that matter has heard about digger and the world class trails he has made, not many people know about the details of his life. I didn’t either until a started reading a variety of articles that go into his personal life and how he began his career. I was surprised by the similarities that I saw between me and him when he was in his teen years.

Another subject I got to learn a lot more about was globalization and the impact it can have on society. Before reading the text book in class I already knew about the economic and social impacts that globalization can Have. What really taught me something was the section about the environmental impacts of globalization. I had never connected the two before then.

of course there were a variety of other things I learnt about this week but I felt that these were the most important and interesting. Thanks for reading my weekly report and I’ll see you guys next week.
