What type of student is a good candidate for PLP?
PLP is a flexible program that should appeal to a wide variety of students. The most important attribute is a curiosity about the world and a desire to learn. Criteria for selection is weighted most heavily by a student’s potential for success in a project-based learning environment. Students must be able to work both independently and collaboratively, and be comfortable with their work being public and shared. Students should be interested in learning with technology, but do not need to have technical experience with the iPad.

Are there any pre-requisites for entering PLP?
No, PLP has open enrolment. All interested students are encouraged to apply at any time for the grade they are entering.

What equipment is required of PLP students?
PLP students are required to have a personal iPad at school for all program classes. Required applications used as part of program be provided to students.

What if I can’t afford to purchase an iPad?
Not being able to afford an iPad should not be considered a barrier to participating in PLP. Please contact the program coordinator for more information on options.
