What type of student is a good candidate for PLP?

PLP is a flexible program that should appeal to a wide variety of students. The most important attribute is a curiosity about the world and a desire to learn! 

Are there any pre-requisites for entering PLP?

No, PLP accepts new students at any grade level. All interested students are encouraged to apply at any time for the grade they are entering.

How are students chosen for PLP?

Criteria for selection is weighted most heavily by a student’s potential for success in a project based learning environment. Students must be able to work both independently and collaboratively,  and be comfortable with their work being public and shared. 

Do students need to be experts with technology?

No! Students should be interested in learning with technology, but do not need to have prior technical experience with the iPad.

What equipment is required of PLP students?

PLP students are required to have a personal iPad at school for all program classes. Required apps used as part of program are provided to students.

What if I can't afford to purchase an iPad?

We are committed to equitable access for all learners; not being able to afford an iPad should not be considered a barrier to participating in PLP. Please contact us for information on options.
