This Blue Sky project is turning out to be a lot of work, and there’s only a week left to get it finished! Time to call for reinforcements….

My Grandpa who was helping me has gone on vacation to England, so I asked my other Grandad to come and help me build the circuit. This involves soldering wires onto to each of 10 lasers and 10 photo cell sensors. Each of these things has two wires and the other end of each wire has to be soldered on to a circuit board. That adds up to a lot of soldering and has been taking hours.

Check out this time lapse video to see our progress.

As you can see my dog Summer also wants to help. Unfortunately this turned out to be a real life example of “the dog eating my homework” as she decided that the battery case looked tasty. So now I have to re-solder the battery and spend the next week keeping the dog away from my strike zone!
