This time on Simon’s blogs we are doing a job shadow. I had the opportunity to be a cinematographer for a day and it was one of the funnest things I have everyone done. I decided to do my job shadow with an old friend Chris Clark, this is his job for a living. Chris Clark is probably the nicest person I have ever met he is the most considerate person ever, you need something he will probably lend it to you, he’s very trusting.he has come a long way since I knew him in high school, he has his own website with a link to all the people he has worked with and I have to say there are some pretty popular names on there. He works for RYU a clothing company, he does this full time which is very rare. its very lucky to get a full time job as a film maker most of the time it is just contract’s, don’t get me wrong but contrast’s still pay well but if you can get a full time job its good for you in the long run. the reason I decide to do my job shadow on a film maker is because I love taking video and I wouldn’t mind doing this in my future. during the day I learned a lot of things that would take me a least a month to learn by myself for example learning to make proper adjustments to get the most from my camera. we also decided to go out and take some B-Roll footage to make an edit, that was probably the most fun I have had taking video in a long time.

I think the best thing about being a film maker is editing what you have just filmed, having that freedom to do whatever you want with that footage is just exhilarating in my eyes. Chris’ setup is probably my dream setup if I keep making edits, thank you Chris for agreeing to do this job shadow. I believe this job shadow went great not only did I learn a lot I would also consider as a job I would pursue in thew future

thank you Chris Clark.
