The Surprising Story of my Biking Life

Hi everyone, this is a story on why and how I got into mountain biking. I was riding my first non-training wheels bike when I was 2, it was a racing BMX. I didn’t really like biking at the time so my parents decide to put me in a race to see if it would trigger any interests. So I signed up for my first BMX race, and I won by a mile. And you would think that maybe that was a sign I could go places BMX racing, but of course me being me decided that wasn’t for me. And I didn’t bike for a while. A year later my parents got me my first mountain, a opus bolt. My opus bolt was the bike I went mountain biking for the first time with on Fromme.

I hated the climbing but the downhill was fun. After that I went on a second time with a camp named escape adventures. I did not like it in the slightest but every year I would go to the summer camp. I only liked biking with my dad, one time we were biking up Fromme and I saw one of my friends older brother biking up on an opus fever. as soon as I laid eyes on that bike bike I really wanted it, so I asked my dad to get the bike for me some time. Then sure enough I got the bike for my birthday. I rode that bike for a while and I loved it so much.

After that Ike was done I got a red slayer 50 which was a beast of a bike for my age. And we had fully customized it so it looked so sick. That bike I was really sad to see it leave when I sold it. But my hopes shot up when I saw my new bike. My new bike was a Rocky Mountain altitude and it was purple. This bike took the longest to build but in the end it was so cool. At the time I got the bike the pandemic had started so I was biking even more than usually and I was outside everyday. Then I got the bike I have now which is a white yeti sb140 and it is the nicest bike I’ve seen in a while. And I also got a dirt jumper at the same time as my most recent bike. And now I’m mostly going to this place called the air rec. which is an indoor bike park with an airbag, dirt jumps, and a skatepark.
