Once Upon a time there was..

Once upon a time there was a man without a name, who resided in rural Japan. He rode trains for a living. He lived a dull life tending to the trains every day, and making sure they were in good condition. He rode all kinds of trains, but he especially liked older trains, because he grew up riding in them.

Every day..

Every day he sat in the 3rd car of the 4th train that left the station every day, at 9:00 AM. He rode different trains every day, but none of them were the older trains he loved.

One Day..

One day the man was approached by someone who worked at the central station, in Tokyo.

The man offered the man without a name a position to ride old trains in the city. He graciously accepted.

Because of that..

Because of that, the man left the countryside, went to the city and rode and maintained older trains every day. Everyday he bought a bento from a store at the central train station.

Because of that..

Because of that, his bento attracted the mice that were on the old train. This was a problem. the mice had been living in the train for years, but it was only now that they were eating the food on the train. The old train was going to be cleaned, and retired. The man went back to the central station to look for more work.

Until Finally..

Until finally the man without a name found work at a suspension railway station. Every day he rode on different suspension railway cars, working to clean and maintain them. He has worked this job every day since then.
