For our winter exhibition this year we were presenting the documentaries we created. I’m really interested in film so making our documentaries was really interesting and fun!
We related the themes of our documentaries to James Camerons 2009 film: Avatar. In my group our theme was substantially and my personal documentary is about the importance of getting young children to form emotional relationships with our natural world so they learn to love and protect it while we still can.
I think the exhibition could have been planned a bit better. We started working with the other grades two days before the exhibition. There were also some other issues, like using the boxes to display our films. The boxes made it a look a lot better, but it made it very hard to play the video and skip forward and back.
I think the exhibition was a good learning opportunity to see what works and what doesn’t for future projects. Thanks for reading, happy holidays!
