We’ve just started back at school after a much needed break. The first assignment that we’ve started with so far is to read a novel. The novel that I chose is called Simon vs. the homo sapiens agenda and is about a boy named Simon who is gay being blackmailed by a fellow classmate. We have only just started on reading the book, so I am not too far into it, but based on what I’ve read so far I’m going to talk about what I predict will happen in the upcoming chapters. The first thing that I think will happen is that Simon will try and befriend Martin, the classmate who is blackmailing him in hopes of him leaving Simon alone. Next, I think that Martin will betray Simon and leak his personal information instead of keeping his promise not to. Lastly, based on the dynamics of Simon’s friend group, I think that it will split apart by the end of the book. So far, this book has kept me wanting to keep reading, and I’m glad that I chose this one.
