Thank you for coming to my presentation of learning. I am the expert on my own learning. I am also responsible and accountable for my own learning. You can expect me to give an honest evaluation of my progress. We will discuss my strengths and opportunities for growth. So far his year there have been projects that I’ve looked forward to and others that I have not, and example of one that I have not looked forward to is rise of the Frankenstuffies. I wasn’t looking forward to this project because I don’t like to sew and I’m not good at sewing, I also don’t like coming up with stories. In my work also shows that it did not like this project because a lot of it was handed in late. That is one thing I really need to improve on is handing things in on time, this is something that I have always said I want to improve on and its never really happened, that Leeds to another problem when my works starts to be late I start to lose motivation to do it.
One project that I did look forward to and did enjoy was the Revolution project, I really enjoyed this project because it like learning about history. Making the Rube Goldberg machines was a lot of fun. Then presenting it at the exhibition was fun and also pretty stressful because our machine kept on falling apart or just not working. During this project it might not have looked like it was enjoying it because I wasn’t really paying attention in class and when I was supposed to be making my part of the machine Hal the time I wasn’t even at the table because I would get distracted by my friends or but the other stuff that going on around me.
This year I have tried to approach projects with an open mind but sometimes it gets hard because the teacher is talking for to long or I just don’t find whatever were learning that interesting. Also a lot of the time I zone out if a teacher is talking for to long but they they tell us to work and then I have no idea what were doing and I have to ask the people at my table. Most of the time they don’t explain it very well or they don’t tell me where I can find the information.
one thing I found frustrating about PLP work is that sometimes the instructions aren’t very clear and I get confused on what were doing then end up not doing the work at all and just sit at my desk doing nothing.
I don’t think that I have met my standards this year because I have not done everything I wanted to do, like I wanted to have more than half my work handed in on time instead of most of my work being handed in late. I’ve also been very inconsistent with my work like sometimes I hand everything on time and then sometimes I hand in everything late. I also haven’t really been doing any work at home because I doing work at home.
Something I would change about my work as a learner is to have it handed in on time. I would want that because it’s annoying me and this point that the majority of my work has been handed in late. I am not blaming the teachers for this I know that it is my responsibility to have my work done in time.
One thing I strive to achieve is to have most of my assignments handed in on time for the rest of the school yearA
