Hi, welcome to my blog! In this post I’m going to be talking about Destination imagination (also known as DI). So far we have been doing DI for roughly around a month or two. I was put into the technical challenge, called daring escape. This is where you have to build two devices to over come three hazards. My team has has had things that have gone well and other things that aren’t going well so far, I will now tell you about what I have accomplished with my team so far.

Instant challenges!

Throughout the past few months we have done multiple instant challenges, and truthfully my team hasn’t done too bad. They are quite tricky to do but so far my team has been using creativity, improvising quite well, and we also have pretty good teamwork. But we definitely need to work on getting better at managing our time. We always either do things to fast and rush, or we take to long to plan things and run out of time. I think there is definitely SO much to learn and so many things we need to improve in our instant challenges, and I look forward to doing more!

What has my team really done?

So far in my opinion I think my team has not been as productive as we could’ve been in the time that we’ve had so far. I think we could have gotten way more things done than we have so far, I think we’ve just been getting distracted, not focusing and struggling with coming up with new ideas.

DI is hard because you also have a very strict set of rules that you need to follow. It is hard for us to truly to do different things in such a tight set of rules. We also have a budget which is really important because we can’t go over it, and budgeting everything is very hard!

But I also think that my team has been able to work well together and merge and collaborate ideas. We have everyone on a certain task to manage which makes things easier and more organized throughout our planning. My team has been able to do DI outside of class as well, we have been meeting up to work and build on things before school.

Over all DI has been kind of stressful and honestly a little bit confusing so far! But I think my group and I will be able to get everything sorted and figured out and will make a ton more progress! I have enjoyed everything so far and I am looking forward to learning and accomplishing new things with my team. Thanks for reading!
