Blue Sky V.2

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today we are going to be talking about the grade nine blue sky. This blue sky was a little different than past years as we had to do it online on a zoom meeting. This was overall quite and interesting experience. Also the main idea this year was quite a bit different. Instead of us just making something, we had to make something that related to the U.N sustainability goals and the current pandemic. This project was a bit of a challenge so you will have to see how it went.

This post will be a little less competency based and a little more experience based. The first milestone was (as it normally is) A how might we form. This was just to get a little understanding of what I wanted to do and how we might do it. We also did some extra activities such as a design challenge. The competency being assessed was “Research and Understand: How might I research and understand a problem, process, or challenge using different perspectives?” I think I used and answered this competency by using different prospectives to finish the HMW form.

the second milestone was were it started to get interesting. The task for this milestone was to decide on what we were going to make. I decided on a COVID-19 safe trash can that it fast and easy to produce. The same competency was assessed on this milestone as all the other ones after. I think I answered this competency correctly by looking through the lens of of a items producer and normal person to look at what you might need to create a product.

My general idea

The third milestone was the first collaboration project for this project. The task was to complete a form (called the PARTS form) that showed how you might show your product and how you might collaborate with others to show projects. I think that I answered the competency this milestone by using lens to understand the The process of showing a product online.

The fourth milestone was when the prototyping for the end product started. The task was to create multiple rapid prototypes and to start prototyping for the final project. I did three rapid prototypes. I think I used the competency by solving a problem in my prototype by using a lens.

That is all the milestones but I will talk the final experience and a bit about my group. My group consisted of Jakob, Annie, Raymond, Anders, and Amelia. We were in the consumption of products group. Our idea for the final presentation was time travellers offering the audience a choice to lead to the brighter greener future of planet earth. And we pulled the idea of perfectly. We had an amazing exhibition and had fun. Here is my launch journal from the experience.
