We’re looking for volunteers for our 2018 Serious Fun Summer Camps! (Ages 14+)

Would you like to gain leadership skills, get work experience, work with children and youth, and make friends while having fun at the same time? If so, become a Serious Fun camp volunteer. We’re looking for mature teens (must be at least 14 years old) with an interest and aptitude in leadership, computers, film making, science, art and more.

Grouse Mountain Volunteer Opportunity

Are you looking for a summer volunteer program?
Do you have a passion for the outdoors?
Apply to be a Grouse Mountain Adventure Camp volunteer!

We are pleased to offer high school students aged 14-18, who have a passion for the
outdoors and working with youth a chance to complete a volunteer experience term with the
Grouse Mountain Adventure Programs team. We are excited about helping students gain
confidence with groups and become better leaders as they take on leadership roles and
discover a possible career within the Camps/Outdoor industry.

This is a volunteer based development program to assist youth with a passion for the
outdoors and youth development by providing a hands-on learning approach. All
participants will commit to attend 2 days of training and be available for a minimum of 2
camp programs, which run 5 days each. This equates to approx. 90hrs.

Students will have the opportunity to outline personal goals and work with camp leaders to
achieve them and advance their skills.

In order to be a part of the program all candidates must complete an online volunteer
application by going to www.grousemountain.com/careers and looking for the position
‘Camp Volunteer’. Applicants must provide a cover letter, an up to date resume and two
letters of reference. This process must be completed by June 15th 2018.

Theatre Under the Stars Musical Society (TUTS) is non-profit professional/volunteer hybrid arts producer with a mandate to present quality family entertainment in the form of full-scale musical theatre productions, and provide training opportunities in performance and production to community members and aspiring professionals. TUTS achieves this through a unique collaboration between professionals and volunteers working together in administration, performance, production and venue operations. Presented at Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park, Vancouverites have long considered TUTS a summer cultural tradition with average attendance of approximately 25,000 patrons per year.
The 2018 Summer Season at Theatre Under the Stars continues the tradition of open-air musical theatre with the productions of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and 42nd Street, running in repertory from July 4th to August 18th.
Position Overview:
Working with the Front-of-House Manager, FOH Volunteers are responsible for creating and enhancing the patron experience of two musical theatre shows in rep at Malkin Bowl. Our volunteers provide guests with courteous and swift service in many areas, including greeters, box office, coffee bar, emporium, photo booth and ushering.
Positions:
Front of House Volunteer positions include, but are limited to:
* Greeters
* Box Office Attendants
* Ticket Takers
* Coffee Bar
* Bartenders
* Emporium (Museum and Gift Shop)
* Photo Booth Attendant
* Cushion & Program Booth
* Ushers
Qualifications:
